Herschend Family Entertainment to Build "Skyview Tower" in Camden, NJ

Yes, you heard that right, there's something actually being built in Camden, New Jersey. It's not some fly by night company either. Herschend Family Entertainment is behind theme parks such as Dollywood, Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO and Camden's very own Adventure Aquarium.

For this project, Herschend is teaming up with the British based company, Skyview Tower Systems, to bring the project together.

It's definitely interesting and the ride will take visitors about 250ft into the air for views of Philadelphia, the Delaware and New Jersey. It's my guess that this will be partnered with Adventure Aquarium somehow on the Camden Waterfront, but don't quote me on that.

While I'm not sure that the views of Camden will be all that popular, the views of Philadelphia and the surrounding area should be pretty spectacular. Sure, it's no London Eye or Orlando Eye, but it's something at least, right?

Ground breaking will happen sometime later in 2014 and the tower should be open in 2015 according to the announcement by Herschend earlier.
